Watergen’s GEN-M Water-from-Air generator was installed in the town of La Estrella, Chile this past February.
The generator will supply clean and safe water for the local growers. This town has suffered from severe water shortage, due to poor infrastructure and contaminated sources, which made it very difficult for locals to grow and make a living from agriculture, their main source of income.
The Chilean Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Jose Antonio Walker, and La Estrella mayor Gaston Fernandez, have initiated this project in order to provide locals with clean water for growing greenhouse agricultural crops in the area.
This initiative will change the life of this small community, by helping it restore their traditional activities and make sure they can produce sufficiently to make a decent income.
