We are proud to announce that in cooperation with the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, the third water generator within one year has been shipped to a major Gaza hospital. The donation has been generously funded jointly by the Humanitarian Aid Committee of Neve Shalom-Wahat al Salam and Friends Associations, by Jeffrey Abramson and his foundations and by Richard and Nancy Moskowitz. It will be installed at the Nasser Medical Center in Khan Younis, Gaza’s second largest hospital.
President of Watergen Dr. Michael Mirilashvili welcomed the donation, saying “We must be kind to our neighbors, even helping them before we help others around the world,”
This AWG is the largest of the three generators donated so far in Gaza, and can produce up to 5,000 liters of drinking water a day for the hospital, which up until now has had to truck-in drinking water from external sources. As well, taking into account the on-going electricity crisis in Gaza, the AGW is installed with a solar panel system, so that it can operate continually despite power outages.
