Last year, together with Ford Motor Company and the non-profit charity World Vision, a Watergen device was installed in order to bring fresh and safe drinking water from the air to South Africa. Since then, World Vision has been using Watergen’s atmospheric water-from-air generator to provide fresh water to under-privileged and under-resourced communities in the drought-stricken areas of Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape. The mobile, off-the-grid solution provided by Watergen’s products has been a lifesaver and game-changer for the impacted communities.
Over the last year, this ongoing project been negatively affected by COVID19 and its lockdown restrictions. This time, the GEN-M was transported to the rural community of Amanzi, where residents enjoyed access to clean, fresh drinking water. This was appreciated even more so now that the weather has warmed up in the Southern Hemisphere.
